‘Cheese & Teas’ Founder, Tracy Wathen-Jones

I’ve spent my life in and around farms and the countryside.

My love of cows and all things dairy related has remained with me. However I have also diverted into nature conservation and horticulture during my career.

I spent 8 years living and working in County Cork, Ireland. Whilst there my husband and I ran a landscape gardening company, set up and ran our own garden centre and I dedicated my spare time to producing food for family and friends on the remainder of our land. I particularly loved keeping hens and pigs.

Whilst bringing up my family, running our businesses and looking after my small holding I undertook my MSc in Organic Farming and IFOAM EU Organic Leadership training programme via distance learning and study tours.

I love to continually build on my knowledge of food & farming and how best to communicate with customers and business clients. With this in mind I have undertaken training in agricultural journalism, holistic management, creative writing, social media marketing and WordPress website creation.

I get such a buzz from helping food & farming businesses create a workable strategy for their social media/communications and develop new and exciting business opportunities through growth and/or diversification.

Specialising in direct selling, community supported food production and innovative ways to produce and sell, I love meeting with passionate people to talk about their farms and food businesses in order to spot strengths and opportunities.

I believe my strong background in agriculture, horticulture and nature conservation coupled with my passion for communication places me in a unique position to assist businesses.
